Pertamina awaits for equipments from Singapore to put off fire

President of the state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina Baihaki Hakim confirmed Tuesday that its exploration well in Cepu in the border of Central and East Java was hit by fire late Monday.

He said that Pertamina is shipping in equipments from Singapore to completely put off the fire.

He was optimistic that Pertamina could soon control the fire as the company had similar experiences in the past.

said that the fire had been under control.

A source earlier said that the fire was caused by uncontrollable gas blow.(Godang)
