Pertamina awaits govt?s approval to sell Bontang excess LNG cargoes

State oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) awaits government?s approval to sell 8 cargoes of? uncontracted? LNG from Bontang ?to traditional buyers? starting next month, a company official said.

Senior VP for LNG Marketing Didik Sasongko told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday that the cargoes will be sold to traditional LNG buyers. He did not give further detail, but traditional LNG buyers are referring to Japanese companies and South Korea?s Kogas.

SKKMigas chairman J. Widjonarko said? earlier that Bontang will have 8 excess cargoes in 2014 and 10 cargoes in 2015.

Didik said Pertamina is currently in the process of selling 2015 excess cargoes. ?A number of existing buyers have expressed interest to buy (the cargoes),? he said without giving further detail.
