Pertamina begins construction of asphalt terminal

PT Patra Niaga, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has recently started construction of a bulk asphalt terminal with capacity of 18,000 tons at its former Patra Dock facility in Dumai, Riau Province.
Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Arswono Kuswardanu told Petromindo.com on Monday that ground-breaking for the project was held last week.
He said that the asphalt feedstock for the terminal will come from the Dumai oil refinery, while the output will be marketed in Java and Sumatra. The bulk asphalt terminal is expected to be completed in 2018, he added.
