PT Pertamina Lubricants, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said it has started maiden shipment of a lubricant product called Visco Modified (VM) Protecto to its subsidiary in Thailand, Pertamina Lubricants Thailand Co Ltd, which will be in charge for the marketing of the product particularly in Asia.
?This initial export is conducted at the Jakarta Production Unit (PUJ) in Tanjung Priok, the largest integrated lube factory in Southeast Asia which is a part of PT Pertamina Lubricants.,? the company said in a statement.
VM Protecto is a semi-finished product, processed from an additive and a base oil which produced by PT Pertamina Lubricants in its Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) in Jakarta Production Unit (PUJ) that is intended to maintain the stability of the lubricant viscosity when the engine?s temperature changes.
Pertamina Lubricants acquired in December 2014 74 percent shares AMACO Production Co. Ltd., a lubricant manufacturer in Thailand - which has now officially become Pertamina Lubricants Thailand Co. Ltd.
?Thus, PT Pertamina Lubricants further solidifies its global presence through the strengthening of its lubricant product portfolio in Indochina market,? the company said.
