Pertamina begins maiden shipment of LPG from Iran

Pertamina Gas 2, a vessel operated by state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina, docked at a port in Tehran, Iran, on Monday, to start the maiden shipment of LPG from that country.

Vice President of Pertamina?s Integrated Supply Chain, Daniel S. Purba said that Pertamina Gas 2 will ship 44,000 tons of LPG from Iran to Indonesia with Kalbut Situbondo Port in East Java as the port of destination.

Daniel said that the LPG is scheduled to be re-distributed to various areas in Indonesia on October 11-12.

As has been previous reported by this portal, the LPG shipment forms part of an LPG supply agreement signed by Pertamina and its Iranian counterpart National Iranian Company (NIOC) in August.
