Pertamina books profit of Rp 12 trillion

State owned oil and gas company Pertamina booked a profit of about Rp 12 trillion this year, a significant increase from Rp 10 trillion last year, the company?s president Baihaki Hakim said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Although the 2001 financial performance had not been audited by the government?s auditor BPKP, the amount of the profit would not much change from around Rp 12 trillion, he said.

?The company?s total assets reached Rp 100 trillion in 2001,?he told reporters following a meeting with Vice President Hamzah Haz.

Baihaki described the 2001 achievement as a breakthrough and he hoped it would continue to improve in the following years. (*)
