Pertamina, BP team up to acquire GoM oil, gas block

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina said it was eyeing to acquire oil, gas block in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM), USA.

President Karen Agustiawan said that the company is teaming up with Anglo-American firm BP plc.

?This is going to be Pertamina?s pilot project to enter deepwater ventures,? she said during a parliamentary hearing on Wednesday. She did not give detail.

She said Pertamina would retain minority interest in the venture. (godang)
