Pertamina buys 1m barrels of crude per month from Iraq

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina will purchase 1 million barrels of crude per month from Iraq for the period of between June and December 2013, a company official said.
?Pertamina will buy about 1 million barrels of crude per month starting June until December 2013,? company Vice President for Communications, Ali Mundakir told Petromindo.com Thursday.
He did not provide further details. Indonesia officially becomes a customer of Iraq?s crude oil following the recent signing of an agreement between Iraq?s State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) and Petral, Pertamina?s oil trading arm.
The latest contract made by Petral will increase crude supply for the company which has already previously secured annual contract of 1.9 million barrel per month of Saudi Arab Light crude.
