State oil company Pertamina has bought 600,000 barrels of Chinese Xijiang crude for July delivery, sharply lower than last month's purchase, traders was quoted as saying by Dow Jones newswires on Thursday.
Traders said the cargo was bought at 70 U.S. cents a barrel premium to the Asian Petroleum Price Index Tapis quote.
Pertamina last bought around 5 million barrels of sweet crudes mostly from West Africa for June delivery.
It didn't buy any sweet crudes from West Africa this time around and no reason was given by Pertamina, traders said. (*)
