Chinese independent firm JOVO is in discussions with state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) to sign a contract to buy LNG from the Bontang plant in East Kalimantan for its small-scale Dongguan terminal in southern China's Guangdong province, according to an industry source.

?A total of 5-6 cargoes per year from the Bontang LNG plant are already prepared for the buyer, JOVO, a small and reliable firm," said the source to Petromindo.com.

JOVO has purchased 0.5 uncontracted LNG cargoes from Bontang plant on the spot market overseas in December last year, the source added.
