State oil and gas company PT.Pertamina is cleared to export its jet fuel excess production after the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources issued letter to approve the plan.

Director General of Oil and Gas Evita Legowo said that Pertamina will be allowed to export up to 200,000 barrels of jet fuel for three months starting May.

Separately, Pertamina Integrated Supply Chain Acting Head Rusnaedi Johari said Pertamina will sell one cargo of jet fuel with the volume of 150,000-200,000 barrels to Singapore and possibly another one in June.

He said price for the jet fuel will be based on international prevailing price.

The domestic jet fuel production exceeds consumption as large quantities of kerosene are converted into jet fuel following the launch of the government-sponsored kerosene-to-LPG conversion program.(bernard)
