State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has clinched a deal with Italian firm ENI Spa on the purchasing of gas from the Jangkrik fields in Muara Bakau PSC in East Kalimantan, according to source.

The source said Pertamina will receive 1.4 mtpa of LNG from the fields for seven years starting in 2017.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said will witness the signing of the gas sales and purchasing agreement (GSPA) on Tuesday (tomorrow), the source said.

Both initially planned to sign the GSPA in May during the IPA Conference & Exhibition but postponed due to absence of greenlight from upstream authority SKK Migas.
