Pertamina’s NAD region general manager Ridwan Nyak Baik said the WMP-02 ST and WMP-06 ST wells were tested at 4.5 million cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of gas with 300 barrels per day (bpd) of condensate and 3.9 mmscfd of gas plus 252 bpd of condensate, respectively.
Ridwan said around 80 percent of gas production from Wampu field will be sold to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, while the remaining production will be sold to state-owned gas transmission and distribution company PT PGN Tbk.
According to Ridwan, Pertamina’s NAD region is currently producing around 75 mmscfd of gas, of which about 40 mmscfd were sold to PLN at a price of US$2.7 per million British thermal unit (mmbtu) and between 15 and 20 mmscfd were pipelined to PGN at a price of $3.0 per mmbtu.
Pertamina’s NAD region is also supplying its gas for liquefied petroleum gas plant at around 10 mmscfd. Meanwhile, about 5 mmscfd are utilized for its own operation. (godang)
