Pertamina, Cool Energy to tie up in gas purification

PT Pertamina E&P, the upstream unit of state-owned oil gas company Pertamina, and Australian company Cool Energy Ltd are exploring the possibility to cooperate in gas purification from CO2 to increase Pertamina?s gas field value, Bisnis Indonesia daily reported Tuesday.
Tri Siwindono, the President Director of Pertamina E&P, said in Jakarta that the company and the Australian firm planned to cooperate in the development of Pertamina's several gas fields in West Java using cryogenic technology.
He hoped the cooperation could be realized beginning 2012.
?There are 16-20 mmscfd of gas output potentials owned by Pertamina in West Java which remain idle due to its high CO2 content, that is 20 - 40 percent," Tri recently said. (*)
