Pertamina cuts December fuel prices for industry

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has decided to cut fuel prices for industrial users, effective December 1.

Premium gasoline will be sold at Rp 4,749.5 per liter next month, slightly down from Rp 4,780.55 per liter this month, Pertamina's spokesman Toharso said in statement on Wednesday.

The company has also cut the price of high speed diesel used for transportation industry to Rp 5,293.45 per liter and and for manufacturing industry to Rp 5,063.30 per liter, from Rp 5,480.90 and Rp 5,242.60 respectively this month. Kerosene's price has been lowered to Rp 5,280.2 per liter, from Rp 5,551.70 this month.

The state company will sell marine diesel fuel at Rp 4,863.1 per liter, 3.3 percent lower than the price of this month. Marine fuel oil will cost Rp 3,051.4 per liter in December, 2.3 percent less than this month.

Meanwhile, subsidized fuel for public transportation remains unchanged, Pertamina added.

Pertamina said that the decision to cut the fuel prices followed the declining trend in the fuel price at international market.

The company uses Mid Oil Platts Singapore (MOPS) as the benchmark to determine fuel prices every month. (godang)
