Pertamina cuts fuel prices for industry by up to 4.3 percent

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina cut retail prices for several non-subsidized fuels for industry by up to 4.3 percent beginning December 15, 2007.

Pertamina said in Jakarta Friday that the company?s move to lower the retail prices for fuels was in line with the decreasing Means of Platts Singapore (MOPS) around 0.6 percent and 5.2 percent and the weakening Rupiah.

Prices for premium gasoline has been lowered by 1.4 percent to Rp 7,347 per liter, kerosene by 1.5 percent per liter to Rp 8,220, high-speed diesel (HSD) by 0.8 percent to Rp7,877.10 per liter, marine diesel fuel (MDF) by 0.2 percent to Rp7,687.90 per liter and marine fuel oil (MFO) by 4.3 percent to Rp5,503.30 per liter.

Meanwhile, the price for Pertamina Dex has been raised by 0.4 percent to Rp8.481.25 per liter from the previous Rp 8,450.

Prices of fuels for public transportation are maintained at Rp 4,500 per liter for premium gasoline and Rp 4,300 per liter for HSD. Price for subsidized kerosene for household and small industry consumption is maintained at Rp. 2,000 per liter. (godang)
