A delegation of state oil and gas company Pertamina on Thursday left for Kuala Lumpur to further discuss with leaders of Malaysia?s state oil firm Petronas about their plan to co-manage Anoa gas field offshore West Natuna, an oil industry source told Petromindo.Com.

Pertamina?s production sharing management director Effendi Situmorang heads the delegation, the source said.

Anoa gas field is located within the West Natuna Block A, which is operated by British oil and gas firm Premier Oil Plc. The field is situated along the border of Indonesia and Malaysia?s economic exclusive zone (EEZ).

The plan is that natural gas from Anoa will be piped to Singapore, along with gas from Conoco Indonesia?s Block B and Gulf Indonesia Resource?s Kakap Block.

Effendi said earlier some part of Anoa?s gas reserves is located within Malaysia?s EEZ, but he did not disclose the percentage of the reserve belonging to Malaysia.

It remains unclear when Pertamina and Petronas will sign agreement on the Anoa field. (Godang)
