State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina is developing three new non-fossil diesel fuel products, Bisnis Indonesia reported Tuesday.
The paper quoted Pertamina Vice President for Research and Development Eko Wahyu Laksmono as saying that the development of the new products forms part of the firm's strategy in anticipating depleting fossil fuels in the future.
The three new diesel products being developed include hydrotreated biodiesel (made from oil palm), algae fuel, and diesel emulsion.
He did not say when the new products will be introduced to the market.(*)
