State oil and gas company Pertamina said on Tuesday it had discovered new gas reserve in the Southern Sumatra province of Jambi.
The company said gas was discovered after drilling Sungai Gelam Deep-1 well in Batanghari regency, which flowed 2.69 million standard cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of gas with 30 percent carbon dioxide content.
The well was spudded in October 2001 and was temporarily abandoned as discovery well in February 25.(alex)
