Pertamina drills three wells in S. Sumatra

State oil and gas company Pertamina said Tuesday it had started drilling three wells in South Sumatra as part of its plan to drill more aggressively in South Sumatra next year.
?The three wells are well deepening programme and had started early December,? said deputy director upstream Eteng A. Salam on a sideline of Pertamina anniversary celebration.
?Our success in discovering huge oil in Gunung Kemala earlier had encouraged us about the prospect of the three wells.?
Last week Pertamina announced discovery of 230 million oil in Gunung Kemala, South Sumatra.(alex)
