PT Setdco Internasional, owned by local businessman Setyawan Djodi, has been excluded from the list of companies to join tender for the supply of oil from the Middle East to the state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina, a source told Petromindo.com.

The source at the ministry of mineral resources and energy said that Pertamina would hold the tender later this month after its contract with Aramco expired.

The source said that Setdco had actually promised to provide Pertamina with the Middle East oil at a cheaper price even when compared to the price charged by Aramco.

The source said that Setdco had secured oil supply from a company in Iran.(*
