Pertamina EP applies sulfinol technology at Tiung Biru-Jambaran project

PT Pertamina EP Cepu is applying the sulfinol technology of Shell Global Solutions for gas-treating process at the Tiung Biru-Jambaran gas project in the Cepu block, which is located in the border areas of East and Central Java.

Pertamina EP Cepu President Director Amril Thaib Mandailing told Petromindo.com on Monday that his company has obtained the technology license from Shell Global Solutions International B.V., which has appointed PT Adiprotek Envirodunia as its representative in carrying out the project in Indonesia.

Natural gas generally requires removal of H2S, CO2, COS, organic sulfur compounds, mercury and water prior to liquefaction in order to meet specifications, avoid blockages and to prevent damage to process equipment.
