Pertamina EP Asset 5 plans to drill nine wells

PT Pertamina EP Asset 5 Field Tarakan plans to drill nine new wells in North Kalimantan this year.
Hariyanto, Public Relations Officer of Pertamina EP Asset 5 Tarakan said that two of the nine fields are located in Sembakung, Tarakan, and seven in Nunukan Regency. He added that the drilling programs target average total depth of 1,300 meters.
He said that the drilling programs are scheduled to start in May. The company will bring in three rigs owned by PDSI to the Sanga-Sanga region. Cost for drilling of one well is estimated at around Rp 52 billion.
Heriyanto said that each well is expected to provide output of 1,000 bopd, excluding associated gas.
