Pertamina EP discovers gas in S. Sumatra area

PT Pertamina EP, upstream unit of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), said Tuesday that it has discovered gas in its Semparuti exploration well, Pagar Dewa area, onshore South Sumatra with flowed of 5 mmcfd during production test.

Agus Amperianto, company spokesman told Petromindo.com the well, which has been drilled since early of this year also produced condensate.

Pertamina EP has also made another gas discovery and condensate in exploration well in Pondok Tengah, Bekasi, West Java but in small quantity, he said.

Pertamina EP has also completed the drilling program in Sagu exploration well in onshore Jambi. At present, the well is still being tested, he added. (bernard)
