PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has been drilling PMB-P14 TW/33 well in Prabumuli, South Sumatra, targeting West Prabumulih layer since Aug. 8, the firm said in a statement on Thursday.

Depth target is 2800 meters, while production target is 120 bopd and 2.5 mmscfd, Herutama Trikoranto, PEP?s Development Director, said.

He said PEP?s Asset 2 unit, which covers southern Sumatra, is committed to raising oil and gas production from its fields in the area despite the sharp drop of oil price. At present, the Asset 2 unit produces 19.753 bopd or 90 percent of the target of 22.049 bopd and 466.37 mmscfd or 99 percent of the target of 471.23 mmscfd.
