Pertamina EP drills Benggala-02 well

PT Pertamina EP, an upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said that it spudded the Benggala-02 well in Pangkalan Susu Field, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, last week to help increase oil and gas production.
Pangkalan Susu Field Manager Dirasani Thaib said in a statement received Wednesday that the well was spudded on Thursday to start a 122-day drilling program targeted to reach a depth of 3,100 meters.
No further details of the drilling program were provided.
