Pertamina EP drills Niru 44 well

PT Pertamina EP, an upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, started last week drilling the Niru 44 development well in Rambang Dangku District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra.
The company said in a statement obtained Wednesday that this would later be followed with the drilling of the Niru 46 well.
?The drilling program is part of efforts by the company to achieve production target,? said Irwan Zuhri, G&G Manager at Pertamina EP Asset 2 unit, in the statement.
