Pertamina EP encounters dry hole at Tapen-02 well

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has encountered dry hole in the recent drilling of the Tapen-02 well in the company?s Asset IV Cepu Field, located in Tuban Regency, East Java Province.

Cepu Field Manager Agus Amperianto told Petromindo.com that as the firm did not find indications of hydrocarbon reserves there, the company left the well.

PEP began the drilling program in the well with total depth of up to 2,700 meters in July, he said.

?We will still keep doing exploration drilling as Pertamina has commitment to find new oil and gas reserves,? Agus said.
