Pertamina EP eyeing 123,000 BPD production by year-end

Pertamina EP, an upstream unit of state oil and gas company Pertamina said on Monday it is currently producing oil at the rate of 119,000 barrels per day, up 10,000 BPD from last year?s figure.

CEO Tri Siwindono told reporters that the company is targeting to produce 123,000 BPD by year-end.

Siwindono said that the increase was partly due to addition from its newly producing fields such as Karang Enggal in Java, which was discovered earlier this year and is currently producing oil at a rate of 800 BPD and Limau well in South Sumatra, which is currently producing oil at 1,000 BPD.

He expected that additional production would be contributed by its fields such as Sukowati and Poleng TACin East Java, Tambun and Pondok Tengah near Jakarta. (bernard)
