Pertamina EP Field Ramba has achieved a significant increase in production at 5,601 bopd, the highest production level since it was officially operated on October 16, 2010.
The average production last year stood at 5,000 bopd. State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina said on its website on Monday that production rate was expected to continue to rise this year.
The company said that among the factors contributing to the higher production were the reopening of a number of wells in the Mangunjaya location, the opening of new wells including BN-94, BN-107, and BN-104 in Bentayan, and the optimization of wells in the Bentayan area, which is the largest contributor to production.
Pertamina said that the application of 20 units of electric submersible pump (ESP) have also helped in the effort to increase production.
