Pertamina EP finds hydrocarbon in Bambu Gunung, Akasia Besar

Pertamina EP, a unit of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has found hydrocarbon reserves at Bambu Gunung (BBU)-1 well and Akasia Besar structure in West Java.
Company VP for Exploration Nanang Abdul Manaf said in a statement that the seam content test (UKL) at the BBU-1 well shows condensate production of as high as 252 bopd, and gas of 5.2 mmscfd. The BBU-1 well is located in the Sukatani-Kerawang area of West Java, East of the Cimalaya Field.
He said that with the gas and condensate findings at the BBU-1 well, and the recent completion of the 3D seismic process at Cimalaya, the company is currently evaluating a proposed delineation exploration well and increasing gas reserves through Put on Production activity.
Nanang said that Pertamina EP has also proven hydrocarbon reserves at the Akasia Besar structure in Indramayu, West Java, through the drilling of ASB-1 well.
The seam content test shows highest possible crude oil production of 1,078 bpd.
