Construction progress of the Matindok Central Processing Plant (CPP) in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, which is operated by PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has reached nearly 90 percent.

"Matindok CPP is almost completed, nearly 90 percent (progress)," PEP?s Public Relations Manager, Muhammad Baron told Petromindo.com on Tuesday.

According to Baron, there will be some tests that need to be done prior to full operation of the CPP, expected sometimes between early to middle of next year.

Last week, upstream authority SKK Migas said that production at the Matindok field had been delayed to 2017. Production at the Matindok field has been delayed due to problems among members of the consortium assigned to develop the production facility, thus affecting the construction progress, and also due to lingering uncertainty over buyers of the gas output, Deputy for Operation Control at SKK Migas Muliawan said. Matindok field is expected to produce 65 mmscfd of gas and 500 bpd of oil.
