Pertamina EP obtains green light for POP of Benggala well

PT Pertamina EP has obtained green light from upstream authority SKK Migas, to put on production (POP) 6-7 mmscfd of gas from the Benggala well in North Sumatra to be supplied to industries and state electricity firm PLN in the province.

The gas is expected to be on stream in September of this year, Vice President for Exploration at Pertamina EP, Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com Wednesday.

?Approval has been obtained from SKK Migas for POP of Benggala, because gas need in North Sumatra is urgent. Preparations are being made for the POP, the plan is to install 13 km pipeline to the Wampu gas field. It?s expected to be on stream in September,? Nanang said, but did not provide further details.
