Pertamina EP President Director Syamsu Alam said in Jakarta over the weekend that the company?s Bunyu field provided the largest contribution to the increase in the oil production in the eastern Indonesia.
The new level of the oil production surpassed the company?s oil production target of 8,008 this year.
?Eastern Indonesia has brought new hope in oil production amid the decline of production in most parts of the country,? Syamsu said.
?Bunyu gives significant contribution in production thanks to the successful drilling of the BN-26 well which produced 2,427 bopd and 0,9 mmscfd of gas during a trial production,? the company?s General Manager for eastern Indonesia Satoto Agustono said.
In addition to Bunyu field, the company also operates Sangatta and Papua fields. Bunyu produces 8,460 bpd, Sangatta 2,091 bpd and Papua 1,139 bpd.
