Oil production of PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, reached 127,000 barrels per day in September, while gas production reached 1,040 MMSCFD, Pertamina EP public relation manager, Agus Amperianto, said.

The oil and gas production for the month was lower than the full year average target.

President Director Pertamina EP, Syamsu Alam, said the company projected average oil production of 131,040 bpd this year, slightly lower than early target, set in the 2011 State Budget (APBN) of 132,000 bpd.

The company projected gas production this year at an average 1,095 MMSCFD.

To boost its production, the company further develops its Sangatta and Bunyu fields in East Kalimantan. The company plans to drill five more developing wells in Sangatta and 22 developing wells in Bunyu.

Once completed, the company's developing wells will rise to a total of 119 this year, higher than its early target of 112 developing wells. (giok)
