Pertamina EP plans 3D survey in Papua

PT Pertamina EP Papua Field plans to start 3D seismic survey activities at ten districts in Sorong Regency, Papua Province, in the middle of this year, according to a company official.

Papua Field Manager Julfrinson Alfredo Sinaga said on Wednesday that the company launched public campaign last week for the planned seismic survey involving Sorong regent and Sorong mayor.

He said that the Klamasosa 3D seismic survey is aimed at acquiring additional data following the completion of previous 2D seismic survey.

?Construction of workers camp will be started in May 2017. The total number of workers involved will be around 2,300,? he said, adding that recruitment process will be conducted gradually in line with project development.
