Pertamina EP, Pusri, PLN ink gas sale deals

PT Pertamina EP has signed new gas sales and purchasing agreement with PT Pupuk Sriwijaya (Pusri) and PT PLN Tarakan, which will amend previous deals with the latter two firms.

The agreement was signed on Thursday. Under the deal, Pertamina EP will supply Pusri 166 mmscfd of gas from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2017, with total volume set at 286,350 mmscf, a company statement said.

The gas will be supplied from Pertamina EP?s gas fields within the South Sumatra area with Pusri plant?s gate in Palembang being the point of delivery. The statement did not mention price.

For PLN Tarakan, gas supply from Pertamina EP will total 2,558 mmscf during contract period that ends on December 31, 2015. The deal is expected to help resolve electricity crisis in Tarakan, as declared recently by the regional government.

The gas will come from the Bunyu field in East Kalimantan.
