Pertamina EP reveals preliminary results of some well tests

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of oil and gas company PT Pertamina, revealed that it has seen oil and gas indications in a number of wells based on recent well testings, a company executive said.
The company?s Vice President for Exploration, Nanang S. Manaf, told Petromindo.com that the Tiung Biru-2 well in Tiung Biru field at the border of East Java and Central Java showed indication of oil and gas based on three well testings.
He added the Kuang (KAG-DX) well in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, Sumatera, indicated gas, Nira-1 well was not viable for further exploitation, while Jati Besar-1 well in West Java showed gas and condensate indications based on first well test.
Bambu Gunung well in West Java showed gas indication based on five tests of planned 14 well tests.
In other related development, Pertamina EP is in the process of preparing well logging for Garcenia in North Sumatera and Salmon Biru wells in East Kalimantan. After well logging is completed, the company will move ahead with conducting testing on those wells.
In addition, the company is also in the process of conducting well logging on the Piretrium and Pemaat-3 wells in South Sumatera. Once well logging on those two wells is completed, expected within the next few days, the company will move on to carry out well testing, Manaf told Petromindo.com.
