The Cikarang Tegal Pacing Development Project (or CTDP), operated by PT Pertamina EP, has since February 26 started flowing gas to the main production facility called Pondok Makmur Block Station in Bekasi, West Java.
?Thank God, the Cikarang Tegal Pacing field has started flowing gas at 6.4 mmscfd, and will ramp up to 14 mmscfd in line with timeline target set by SKKMigas. The gas in process is in line with the policy of PT Pertamina management in a bid to accelerate monetization of exploration findings at the Tegal Pacing structure,? said Nanang Abdul Manaf, President Director of Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina, in a statement on Wednesday.
Gas from the CTDP will be stored at the Pondok Makmur Block Station, which was production capacity of up to 43 mmscfd and about 4,000 barrels of liquid per day, which later will be supplied to meet demand of domestic buyers, the statement said.
?Gas from Pondok Makmur Block Station will be distributed to a number of companies among others (power plant operator) PT PJB Muara Tawar as much as 20 mmscfd for electricity fuel, and PT Pertamina Gas 3.5 mmscfd to be converted into LPG,? Nanang explained.
He added that part of the gas output will also be allocated to a company owned by the Bekasi regency administration.
Meanwhile, Development Director of Pertamina EP, Herutama Tikoranto said that the CTDP project is among of three projects of the copany that are scheduled to be on-stream in 2017. The two other projects are Paku Gajah Development Project (in South Sumatra), and Matindok Central Processing Plant (in Central Sulawesi).
He said that the CTDP project could produce gas up to 14 mmscfd for a period of seven years (plateau age), while total reserves are estimated to last until the Pertamina EP contract expires in 2035.
?The production target of 14 mmscfd is projected to come from six wells. Currently, two wells have started to flow gas, TGP-03 well and TGP-05 well, total production of up to 6.4 mmscfd,? Indra Priyatna, General Manager of CTDP said.
