Pertamina EP?s H1 oil production exceeds target

Oil production of PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, has reached 130,400 barrels per day (bpd) in January-June period of the year, or 2 percent higher than this year?s target of 128,000 bpd.

Pertamina EP's president director Salis S. Aprilian said on Monday the performance would give a rise to the company's optimism to meet the set target this year.

Some of Pertamina EP?s fields managed to increase output in the period, including Rantau field in Aceh from 2,200 bpd to 4,400 bpd, Bunyu field in East Kalimantan from 1,400 bpd to 6,400 bpd

Average oil production in July reached 135,681 bpd.

Pertamina EP has taken a number of measures to boost production, including drilling certain areas, implementing zero discharge in water management operation, using fract pack to overcome sand intrusion, and conducting more pipeline maintenance programs.

Meanwhile, gas production reached 1,050 MMSCFD in the first semester, slightly lower than this year?s target of 1,096 MMSCFD but higher compared to the last year?s output of 1.043 MMSCFD (godang)
