Pertamina EP says Ramba field output reaches new record

PT Pertamina EP said that production at the Ramba oil field in South Sumatra reached a new record level of 7,004 bopd on December 27.
The achievement is the highest production level since the operatorship of the field was taken over from Elnusa Tristar Ramba Ltd on October 16, 2010, when production stood at 3,313 bopd, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
As previously reported by this portal, since taking over the field, the company has been taking measures to lift production. A combination of measures including optimization of existing wells, reopening of new wells, and successful drilling programs has resulted in the higher production.
?The success (of the programs) has delivered Ramba field to double production since we took over the field in 2010,? said field Manager Bustanul Fikri.
