Pertamina EP says Tiung Biru-2 well to start producing in Q3

PT Pertamina EP, an upstream subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, said it has submitted request to the upstream authority BPMIGAS to put on production (PoP) the Tiung Biru-2 (TBR-2ST) well as part of efforts to speed up the development of Tiung Biru field in East Java.
Syamsu Alam, President Director of PT Pertamina EP, told Petromindo.com that the company expects the TBR-2ST well to begin producing 1,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) in the third quarter this year.
The company has earlier received approval from BPMIGAS to put on production the TBR-1ST well in this quarter with oil production forecast at 210 bpd.
Tiung Biru field is located within Pertamina EP?s Cepu operations area which is adjacent to the Cepu giant oil and gas block jointly operated by Exxon Mobil Corp unit Mobil Cepu Limited (MCL) and Pertamina.
