PT Pertamina EP and PT Sarana Gastekindo Utama (SGU) have signed a long term contract (LTC) on the procurement of gas compressors for the next five years.
The contract agreement is an extension to the previous three-year-contract that had been implemented.
A media statement stated that the new contract was signed by Pertamina EP President Director Syamsu Alam, and SGU President Director Bedjo Sri Kusno in a ceremony held in Hotel Shangrila, Jakarta, on Monday. Also present in the ceremony was James Wong, a representative from the After Market Asia Pasific Cameron Compression system.
The Long Term Contract (LTC) is expected to secure the reliability of Pertamina EP?s production facilities so that it can increase its oil and gas production.
?We sign the LTC in order to enable us to secure the reliability of our operation, appropriately schedule our equipment and spare parts maintenance, and to avoid any potential disturbance to our operation in the field,? said Syamsu Alam.
Jhony Lobian, SGU?s assistance to Director, said: ?This extension will become the best solution for Pertamina EP and SGU. Pertamina EP will be better in terms of controlling and maintaining its equipment and spare parts of its gas compressor. We hope that this cooperation will proceed well in the future,? he said.
