Pertamina EP signs joint operation contracts

State owned oil and gas company Pertamina?s subsidiary for upstream operations PT Pertamina EP has signed joint operation contracts with PT Samudra Energy Tanjung Lontar Limited and PD Migas Kota Bekasi for the operation of the company?s low priority oil fields Tanjung Lontar Timur in South Sumatra and Jatinegara in Bekasi.
Pertamina EP?s president director Salis Aprillian, said last week that with the signing of the joint operation, the Tanjung Lontar field would be operated in cooperation with PT Samudra Energy while the Jatinegara field in Bekasi would be jointly operated with PD Migas, which is owned by the Bekasi municipal administration.
He said that the Tanjung Lontar was still in the exploration stage while the Jatinegara field was about to enter the development stage. The joint operation contracts both for Jatinegara and Tajung Lontar will last for 20 years. (bernard)
