Pertamina EP spuds 3 wells in late July

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state-owned energy company PT Pertamina, said that it is spudding 3 wells within this late July, namely Tegal Pacing well in Rengasdengklok Block, Region Java, 1 well (twin well) in Cepu, Region Java and another well in Benggala field within Langkat Block, Sumatra.

VP for Exploration of Pertamina EP, Nanang S. Manaf, told Petromindo.com that Tegal Pacing well was spudded on July 22 and Tapen-1 well was spudded on July 24. ?We plan to spud Benggala-1 well on July 26,? he said.

Nanang also said that the exploration activities in PMT-4 (Pemaat) well in Pagardewa, Prabumulih, South Sumatra is still going on. The company has conducted second drill steam test (DST) and so far only discovered water. Third drill steam test is being undertaken.

The company is also conducting drill steam test on the TSM-5 well in Tasim, South Sumatra, the result of which is yet to be finalized. As for ASB-1 well in onshore West Java, the first drill steam test will be conducted on July 26.

Meanwhile, the drill steam test of Tiung Biru (TBR-3) well in Cepu will be carried in the next 3-4 days. A 7-inches casing has been installed and ready for testing, said Nanang.

He also provided the drilling progress of CKR-2 well and TPH-1 wells as follows: CKR-2 well in Cikarang, West Java has reached target depth and now is under preparation for logging. The drilling of TPH-1 well in Sanggatta, East Kalimantan is still going on and today it has reached measured depth of 700 meters, added Nanang.
