Pertamina EP spuds B-1309 well in Bunyu field

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has spudded the B-1309 well at the Bunyu field, in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan.
The company said in a statement obtained late Monday that it deployed the 1,000 HP N-80 UE#22 rig owned by drilling services firm PT PDSI for the 31-day drilling program targeting a depth of 1,668 meters, and which is expected to be completed in April.
The B-1309 well is one of the six clusters to be drilled by Pertamina EP. It has so far completed the drilling of two wells at the field.
Elsewhere, the company said that the Bunyu field started the year with achieving production rate above target. Current production rate stands at the range of 6,000-7,000 bopd, or 105-120 percent above target set in the company?s 2014 budget and work plan.
