Pertamina EP spuds B-1312 well in Bunyu field

PT Pertamina EP has recently spudded the B-1312 oil well at Bunyu field in East Kalimantan in a bid to further increase production of the field.

The company deploys the Rig N80 UE/22 with 1,000 HP capacity owned by PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia. The 47-day drilling program is targeted to reach a depth of 2,492 meters, and is expected to be completed in September.

Bunyu Field Manager, Rizal Risnul Wathan said in an opening speech of a ceremony late last week to mark the start of the drilling program that the B-1312 location is the fourth of the six location clusters to be drilled this year.

Ten years ago, Bunyu field?s production averaged at 500 bopd, surged to around 5,000 bopd last month, and per August 5 it surpassed 7,745 bopd. Efforts are being taken to further lift production to the 10,000 bopd level.
