PT Pertamina EP spudded on March 23 the CLU CII/1 well within the Subang oil and gas field in West Java as part of efforts to increase output of the field.

?For 2014, in addition to drilling of CLU CII/1 well, we also accelerate production via put on production program of the Jati Asri-01 (JAS-01) well,? said Subang field Manager, Defrian Basya in a statement on Tuesday.

Per March 24, average production at the Subang field stood at 1,484 bopd of crude and 255,612 mmscfd of gas.

In November of last year, Subang field was also successful in increasing production through put on production of BBS-01 well, which produced 587 bopd of crude and 0.34 mmscfd of gas, the company said.

Subang field is one of the three oil and gas fields operated by PT Pertamina EP Asset 3 which are located Subang, Karawang and Purwakarta regencies, West Java. Crude production from the field is distributed to the Balongan refinery owned by state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, Pertamina EP?s parent firm. Meanwhile, the gas is distributed via the West Java gas transmission pipeline to industrial consumers.
