Pertamina EP spuds GNK-79 INF well

PT Pertamina EP has started the drilling of GNK-79 INF well in Gunung Kemala Block, Muara Enim regency of South Sumatra.

?The drilling is part of our work plan this year. We plan to spud it up to the depth of 2,300 meter,? Pertamina EP Operational Vice President Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Monday.

During a social gathering to mark the beginning of the drilling, Senior Manager for Exploitation at Pertamina EP Sumatra Region, Wit Mulya reminded all concerned, especially workers involving in the drilling, to always comply with all regulations and stipulations on health, safety and environmental principles in implementing their jobs.

He also hoped that the local government, all local public figures and religious leaders would support the drilling process so that it could be implemented successfully.

Also present during the social gathering was the head of energy and mining division of Muara Enim regency, Azhar Effendi ST, who stated that the local government was fully in support of the drilling. ?The success of the company will bring a positive impact to our local economy,? he noted.
