Pertamina EP spuds new production well in Prabumulih

PT Pertamina EP is drilling a new production well TLJ 157 TW in Prabumulih field, South Prabumulih district of Prabumulih mayoralty in South Sumatra. The drilling is conducted as part of efforts to increase production of the field.
Before starting the drilling, Pertamina EP convened a social gathering to communicate the drilling plan with the local residents, local administration, local public figures, and the other general public. ?Pertamina EP has made such a social function a tradition in order to inform our plan to the public before conducting the well drilling,? said Pertamina EP?s Prabumulih Field Manager Irwansyah on Monday.
?This also indicates that our communication with the local people and local government runs well,? he added.
Prabumulih Mayoralty?s Energy and Mining Department Head M. Zulfan concurred with Irwansyah, saying that he fully supported the drilling plan as the Prabumulih field was now facing a decline of production. ?Prabumulih mayoralty is fully in support of the oil and gas activity in this region as it will contribute to its economic development,? he said.
?I hope Pertamina EP will manage to raise production through the new drilling,? he added.
